On March 22nd, the cannabis law in Germany passed the Bundesrat and will come into force on April 1st. At the last minute and despite much criticism, decriminalization is thus on the way and nothing stands in the way of enjoying joints, except perhaps the distance regulation of 100 meters from public spaces such as kindergartens or sports facilities. But where can you legally buy cannabis or germinable seeds?
It will definitely not be an Amsterdam-style shopping experience, because despite original plans, there will be no official cannabis stores in Germany for the time being. From July 1, however, there will be cannabis clubs. These clubs, which can accept up to 500 members, will then be the only legal source of weed apart from private cultivation. Here, members can obtain up to 50 grams of cannabis per month.
So for the time being, the only option for April 1st is home cultivation. Up to three female weed plants may be grown privately. Consumption of the harvest is of course only permitted for personal use. And where exactly can you buy cannabis seeds? In Germany, from July 1, in the cannabis clubs mentioned above. There, members and non-members who can prove that they are resident in Germany can purchase a maximum of seven seeds or five cuttings per month. Until then, the only option is to buy cannabis seeds online.
WHERE TO BUY HEMP SEEDS LEGALLY?
In Germany, trading in seed stores is still prohibited, but buying cannabis seeds from an EU country is completely legal. Yes, you read that right. Ordering cannabis seeds online is permitted from countries such as Luxembourg, Spain and other European countries. Seed Trade in those countries is not labelled illegal, as they are not classified as intoxicating.
